Granita in Puglia by Julia Laird

I have always been intrigued by Puglia “the heel of Italy” having always loved the work of Luigi Ghirri and spending hours getting lost in his photo books. I was very happy to get the chance to turn my lens on Puglia this summer. The towns with their pastel coloured buildings, cluttered back-streets and the blue sea with rocky beaches are majestic. It was perfect at sunset as you could spend hours jumping from the rocks into the cooling Adriatic Sea then relax with a granita from the man in the photo and watch the sunset - Julia Laird
